Our Fairway Park project in Scottsdale was a rewarding venture, centered on a natural aesthetic with a strong focus on water conservation and the creative reuse of existing materials. Partnering with the talented team at Design Laboratory, we were able to highlight the property’s features, creating dynamic angles and captivating scenery.

The project includes an exposed aggregate walkway adorned with circular metal detailing, which introduces architectural flair. We crafted a custom gate and integrated desert plantings, carefully reusing many of the site’s existing plants to align with the new design plan.

A standout feature is the water element situated at the center of a slatted covered patio, which also serves as a planting island to soften and define the space. Just beyond, a stunning outdoor patio features a custom-built steel fire pit with pea gravel edging. Collaborating with Design Laboratory on this natural xeriscape project was a pleasure, and we look forward to more opportunities to incorporate water conservation and material recycling in our designs.
